German Schools Abroad (DAS)
The Federal Republic of Germany supervises and supports 135 German Schools Abroad worldwide. They are usually run by non-profit school associations. Students can acquire German, national, and international school leaving certificates, which enable them to access colleges and universities worldwide.
German Schools Abroad are advised by the Federal Republic of Germany, supported with qualified teachers from Germany, and financially assisted. They form a worldwide network of DAS (German Schools Abroad) and maintain a global quality standard. For this, they are awarded a seal of quality “Excellent German School Abroad” signed by the Federal President. The schools continuously develop with the help of global pedagogical quality management and corresponding professional development concepts. This allows for seamless transitions to another DAS or the continuation of schooling at a school in Germany.
